Fall is one of my favorite seasons; I love cooler weather, sweaters, and fall festivals. Ever since I started dating my boyfriend, fall is increasingly becoming my favorite because we can do cute, cliche-y fall date things. Here’s a list of my favorite fall dates in Northeastern Ohio:
White House is my go-to fall date place. They have a pumpkin patch, hayrides, a fall festival, a petting zoo, amazing food (especially the donuts), and some of the prettiest views. Nothing tops a Saturday outing to the fruit farm.
2. Bonfires
After a long day or a long week, it’s so relaxing to grab a blanket and head out to the backyard for a nice relaxing bonfire. Grab a few friends and some s’mores or pumpkin beer and unwind.
3. Hiking
I’m not too much of an outdoors-y type of girl, but I love going on hikes when the leaves are changing colors and the weather is cool. Some of my favorite places to hike are Mill Creek Park, Nelson’s Ledges, and Boardman Park, but most local parks have trails with some really great views.
4. Winery Tours
A lot of wineries near Geneva and Lake Milton do tours for the fall, and it’s so fun to spend the weekend drinking wine, enjoying live music, and talking with your significant other (or even your friends!) Check out the The Lodge at Geneva-On-The-Lake: they do shuttle tours (no drinking and driving, people! Safety first!)
5. Farmers and flea markets
Markets offer a great variety of finds, including art and food! Find some fresh fruits to bake into a pie or start a collection of baseball cards.
The best thing about doing all of these things is that it offers a multitude of opportunities for cute picture opportunities and can spawn a random photo shoot to remind you of your excursions when you’re cooped up in the winter months.
