If you’re an average person, you probably have one friend in your group that is an absolute book reading fanatic. You may think that they’re lame for spending so much time with their nose in the newest novel. You may think that they don’t know how to socialize because they bring their book to the dinner table and read instead of talking to the people that surround them. You may even think that they have absolutely nothing better to do in their spare time. While you may think all of these things and more, I promise you that all of those assumptions are so far from the truth.

People are always searching for their knight in shining armor so to speak. Well I’m hear to tell you that you need to be going after the girl that reads. They may be more interested in their fictional stories than they are in you at some point, but coming from a book worm herself you need to date a girl who reads.

For starters, a girl that reads is perfectly fine with being by herself sometimes. She could spend countless hours snuggled in blankets in the comfiest chair in the house just reading and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. It just means you don’t have to work as hard to be entertaining She can become so involved in the life of the characters that it’s easily the best entertainment you could give her. The girl that reads will be able to teach you so many things that you would have never known. Book lovers read genres ranging from sci-fi to hot and steamy romance novels. From the nonfictional books to the fictional books, there are so many things that someone can learn. A girl that reads is a girl that is in intelligent. If you spend enough time with her, I promise you’ll learn more than you could ever imagine. Readers are probably the most empathic people you’ll meet in your life. When reading a good book, it’s easy to place yourself into the story. Because it’s so easy for avid readers to live out the story in their mind, they can become highly attached to the characters no matter how cheesy the story is. Girls who read are very aware of the people’s feelings that surround them. This makes it incredibly easy for them to be a comfort to those who need it most, especially you, boys. Date a girl who reads because she’ll always stand firmly on middle ground. When reading a novel, you get to experience every characters perspective on an issue. This stands true for every novel on the planet. An active reader will probably spend her life with her nose in hundreds of books, which in turn gives her countless perspectives to see from. She’ll do her best to avoid picking fights because she sees every side of it. She sees every direction it could turn. Her being able to stand on middle ground is possibly one of the better things about her love of books. The girl that reads is probably one of the more curious people you’ll have the opportunity of meeting. People may say that curiosity kills the cat, but being curious when reading a book is the whole fun of it. A reader is always questioning what’s going to happen next. This simple process is also applied to her life. She’ll always be questioning the next step in her life, not because she’s weary but because she genuinely wants to know what’s going to happen. The girl that reads also has a great memory. She could remember a plot line from a story she read seven years ago, however, she could also remember what you said on April 2nd of 2011 at 7:54pm. This may not be the best thing for the reader’s significant other but it’ll probably be one of your favorite aspects of her character.

I may be a little biased, but a girl that reads is a girl you need.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
