Suburban life comes with the inevitable commute to and from the city. Whatever mode of transportation you choose to use, it's nothing short of a nightmare, let's be honest. However, my least favorite mode of transport for my commute is the subway/underground. Here are just a few reasons why commuting can be more difficult than the job you are trying to reach.
You have been in more armpits that you want in your average lifetime
If you weren't in a rush you get swept up with the rest who are
You loose your personal space
If you're under 5'5'' you essentially don't exist
That nicely ironed shirt you put on is now creased and has sweat stains
Falling when the tube comes to a stop due to lack of handrail availability
Keeping your ticket too close to your phone and having to 'seek assistance' every barrier.
Coming to the conclusion that we look like little ants running around our ant hole aka the underground stations.
Let's face it, we all hate the commute. I have only been doing it for two weeks and it is the worst part of my day. On the plus side, that moment when you are first out the doors and away, well what a rush. Who knew that Darwin's survival of the fittest would apply to this?
