Dear Dad,

You will forever be my first love and the man that holds my heart. As I get older, there are a few things I want to thank you for..

Thank you for showing me how to love. Thank you for loving mom as much as you do and for setting an example of what true love is supposed to look like. Thank you for loving me and spoiling me and making sure I know that I deserve the world from the man who will eventually steal my heart. Thank you for giving me too many hugs and saying "I love you" more times than you need to, you have no idea how much that has meant to me growing up.

Thank you for showing me what hard work looks like. You have sacrificed your time to make sure our family can have the best possible life. All of the time you spend working has made family vacations so much more special, I love adventuring and relaxing with you. The memories we have made throughout the years are the moments I rely on whenever I begin to miss you.

Thank you for being my should to cry on and mentor in hard decisions. There is something special about the comfort of a father's hug and the warmth from a father's words. You have no idea how much it means to me that you listen, listen to all of the drama and all of the broken hearts. You have stood behind my most impactful decisions and the woman I am today is because of your influences.

As much as I roll my eyes, act annoyed that you hug me so much and give you sass, it's because I love you.

Thank you for making time in your busy schedule to spend time alone with me, so that we can have father-daughter memories. From sock hops and yoga, to ice cream sandwich trips and shopping, I remember every single minute. I remember how happy I felt and how overwhelmed with joy I was that you took the time to spend it alone with me.

I miss you more and more everyday while I'm away from home, but you always ensure that our father-daughter time goes uninterrupted. There are not enough words to express my gratitude towards you and all that you have done for me throughout my life.

One day, another man will come into my life and vy for my love; but you will always be my first and forever love. Thank you for being the most hard-working, dedicated, funny, outrageous, adventurous and fun father!
