We all have had crushes in our lives and for those of you who want to remember what a crush is, Urban Dictionary says: crush- a burning desire to be with someone who you find very attractive and extremely special.

So I do some pretty outrageous things when I have a crush, and I used to think I was alone on this one. I thought I was low-key crazy, and completely psycho, because of the weird things I would do when I am crushing on someone, but after talking to some friends I saw that these outrageous actions are pretty common. I usually am super laidback and don’t care too much about my friend's actions, but when I’m crushing my personality does a complete flip and I do these things pretty regularly.

1. You Facebook stalk them until you literally know everything (your BFF’s help you with this).

2. You get way too excited when you get a chance to talk to them (ex. Crush: "Hey, what homework do we have for class?" Me: "OMG! He just texted me, OMG!").

3. You remember almost everything they say in conversation and then use that to engage in more conversation later on.

4. You become slightly more interested in the mundane things you are doing if it means you get to see them (ex. I had perfect attendance in the one class we had together).

5. You find yourself dressing up and making an effort on your appearance since in hopes they will be paying attention.

6. You become slightly possessive when you hear other people talk about them or when they talk about other girls (ex. Crush: "Yeah, I was hanging out with her the other day." Me: "Why? Who is she?").

7. They are the topic of your random, far-off day-dreams (ex., my crush, Netflix and pizza, sounds like heaven!)

8. You try your best to impress them.

9. You put on full-face makeup at 11:00 p.m. to FaceTime them (maybe that’s just me).

10. You over analyze everything that they say, in hopes to find some evidence they are crushing on you, too. (ex. Crush: "Hey, we should meet up to study for our test." Me: "OMG Did he just ask me out?").

11. You screenshot everything (ex. texts, Snapchats, Facebook posts, etc.).

12. Your Snapchat story is full of cute selfies and you check to see if they saw it.

Now, after reading this you might relate, and if not, you might think I am a complete psychopath, but I can assure you I am not. Thoughts and actions like these are so common when girls are crushing. We are so good at hiding them, that most guys don’t even notice these crazy things we are doing because we like them. I’m sure guys have some similar things that they might go through when they are crushing on girls that we definitely don’t notice. If you do this just know you are a sane, human being, with a crush and we all get just a little bit crazy when it comes to them.
