Crossing Paths

What we fail to realize is that the people who come into our lives are here for a reason.

What happens next? What does this mean?

Those are just some of the thoughts that run through our minds when change is making itself known. We plunge into full-on chaos mode and wonder about what's yet to come. Sometimes we think too much into it.

We yearn for the best possible outcome while also fearing the worst.

To add on to that, it only makes things crazier when you're not really sure of what you want. You're just kind of stuck between two things, wishing for a third option to ease your mind.

What we want is to stay in the now for as long as we can without too much change. Without labels, without too many guidelines, without pressure, and without strain. We want the most comfortable option of all and, sometimes, the easiest in accords to our lifestyles.

But what we don't think about is the truth of all truths. The Universe is here for us and is willing to give us what we want, and if it doesn't seem like that, there's a lesson that needs to be learned.

Sometimes there is someone out there, maybe even a friend, that is meant to cross paths with you for a reason, maybe to learn something new about yourself. We just don't know it until it happens, and everything clicks.

When things click, and your life suddenly makes sense, the world is now seen from another perspective. The Universe is truly listening to you. What I mean by Universe is an entity greater than us. Whether it's God, Mother Nature, or the stars, understanding this makes life clearer and more enjoyable.

The people you come across, most specifically pertaining to that one that pops into your head right now, are in your life for a reason. It doesn't matter if it's long-term, or only for a couple moments at a time. They are there because they were meant to be. Simply.

Most recently, someone came into my life unexpectedly. At first, I was too struck by nerves to just let things roll and go with the flow. I was in a loop of not feeling myself and questioning my beliefs since I sometimes find myself wanting one thing, but also not wanting it.

I've been so focused on reaching for the stars that I forgot to take notice of my journey.

But that person was at a level of serenity and helped me ease into it without expectations or having to worry about what the next day would bring. We decided to just live in the now, with similar approaches to our daily lives.

All that weight of not knowing lifted, and so did my character. I was awakened.

By allowing that person to come into my life, they have made me feel more secure about myself, more creative, and overall comfortable with living in the moment. I'm inspired by this experience because there is something beautiful about sharing your soul with someone else and vice-versa. It's like the cosmos are aligned and everything is happening according to the great plan.

So, when you hand all of that unnecessary pressure off into the abundant world, you are set free. You no longer live in the future, or the past; you're just living within the lines that you drew for yourself.

The now. Limitless, if you choose.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.
