My cousins are some of my favorite people. I look up to them, go to them for advice, and value every single second that I get to spend with them. I’ve been lucky enough to have some pretty great cousins and I believe that they are the best cousins ever. Here's why cousins are the best.
1. You’ll always have a friend no matter what.
2. They make holidays even better.
3. You always have somebody to send a “Help! IDK what to wear!” text to.
4. They completely understand what you mean when you say, “Grandmother just asked me if I was hungry...Again.”
5. You always have somebody to go to the beach with.
6. They are always willing to share clothes, jewelry, makeup, and guy advice with you.
7. They’re super supportive of whatever you want to do. Or they tell you’re crazy in a loving yet still supportive way.
8. You may not agree on UNC or Duke, but you can always agree that watching basketball together is great no matter what team you're pulling for.
9. You have family traditions that are unlike any other.
10. You have inside jokes about washing machines that only you and your cousins understand.
11. Every summer you go on at least one crazy adventure together.
12. You all completely agree that using the term “puppy chow” instead of “muddy buddies” is not acceptable.
13. You can always count on a text from them after a bad day.
14. They give the best gifts because they know you better than anybody else.
15. You can count on laughing until you cry at least once when you’re all together.
16. There’s nobody else you’d rather be at the beach during a hurricane with.
17. Their kids call you Aunt or Uncle even though you aren’t their aunt or uncle.
18. They taught you the importance of the Auburn vs. Alabama rivalry. War eagle!
19. They make insanely great food.
20. You can always count on them to send you a text when there’s a good sale somewhere.
21. They genuinely care about you.
22. You can double, triple, or even quadruple text them without them getting annoyed.
23. You always have somebody to send your ugly selfies to.
24. You can talk to them about anything.
25. They’re the ones who introduced you to guacamole, Scarlet and Gold (check out their Insta, it’s the cutest shop ever), and mint tea.
26. There’s no such thing as TMI around them.
27. They took you hunting for the first time.
28. They’re always down for an adventure, no matter how crazy it might be.
29. You have opposite good sides, which makes taking pictures together so much easier.
30. You’ve got a lifelong friend who understands how crazy your family can be, shares the same last/maiden name as you, and loves you no matter what.
