Only being a year and a half apart from each other made us more than cousins, it made us best friends and practically sisters. For years, if you saw one of us, you knew the other wasn't far behind. We have gone from living a 15-minute walk away from each other to living over eight hours away from each other and back to a 15-minute walk again. I know we have had times when we didn't get along the greatest. I apologize for all the times I would sit and cry to get you in trouble when things didn't go my way. But, we had some really great times too. From Pap letting us get in the hot tub way past our bedtime (not to mention in our pajamas) to wearing matching outfits and getting told we weren't allowed to paint whiskers on our faces during school. We have gone through the awkward phases of middle school, boy troubles, and going away to college. Through everything, nothing has broken our relationship, but this weekend will be the biggest change we have experienced together.

This weekend I get to stand with you as maid of honor as you get to marry a wonderful man. I am beyond excited to see you with someone who makes you so happy and loves you as much as he does. Having him around is something that has bettered both of our lives. When the two of began dating, I didn't lose you to him, but I gained someone to be the brother I didn't have. Whether it was running me places to go get food or teaching me how to jump a car, he has always been there for me too. It is great to have someone who has always seen us as a package deal and can handle the both of us when we are hyper and start singing Jonas Brothers songs we still have memorized from middle school.

I'd like to thank you both for all the dinners and movies I have been a third person too. For every time I was annoying in middle school (and probably well into high school) and you still put up with me. For having my back and being there for me any and every time I needed you, no matter how far away we were from each other. Congratulations on your big day! I can't wait to be there with the two of you and see where life takes you.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?
