10 Great Couples Costumes For Halloween

Halloween is right around the corner! And even though you want to spend the night with your significant other, it always seems to be a struggle coming to an agreement on what to be. Find yourself still looking for an outfit? Here's a list of costumes for two that are guaranteed to reel in the compliments and make the night a memorable one.

1. Homer and Marge Simpson ("The Simpsons")

D’oh! Win the contest with everyone’s favorite goofy, clumsy, humorous, American couple. If you’re Homer, make sure to get in character by holding a donut (or beer) the whole night.

2. Jack Skellington and Sally ("Nightmare Before Christmas," 1993)

If you’re into do-it-yourself costumes, this one will definitely take some time, but it’ll definitely be worth it. From a timeless Halloween favorite, Jack Skellington and Sally gets you points for both pop culture and just being spooky! Truly, love at first fright.

3. Vincent Vega and Mia Wallace ("Pulp Fiction," 1994)

The only way to make this costume better than it already is would require learning their entire dance to Chuck Berry’s “You Can Never Tell.” And if someone doesn’t get the reference, make sure to lecture them on how "Pulp Fiction" is one of the greatest movies of our time and you just can’t believe they’ve never seen it.

4. Jim and Pam ("The Office")

If the two of you spend most of your time making jokes at someone else’s expense, a Jim and Pam costume would be a perfect fit. The costume itself is really just office attire, so you might want to wear name tags to get the point across. Also, don’t forget to stock up on nine seasons of unforgettable quotes.

5. John and Yoko

All you need is love…and circular glasses to compliment an all white outfit. Certainly one of the more stylish costumes on our list, but if you’re running short on time, you could always go nude! Can’t say it isn’t accurate…

6. Neo and Trinity ("The Matrix," 2000)

Ah yes, a personal favorite. When it comes to Halloween costumes, it's one thing to get laughs. It's another to get laughs and look badass while getting them. With all black leather, long trench coats and dark shades, you can’t go wrong with Neo and Trinity.

7. Waldo and Wenda

Simple, easy and fun; everybody will love this couples' costume. The best part about going as Waldo and Wenda is photobombing everyone else's couples pictures by hiding in the background.

8. Mario and Luigi

Alright, you could argue it should be Mario and Peach, but let's face it; we all know who the real power couple of the Marioverse is. The Dream Team, the Super Smash Bros, the Pair of Plumbers, these two are a timeless favorite. Just make sure you have the mustaches down.

9. Shrek and Fiona ("Shrek," 2001)

Another great couples costume with an abundance of references to be made. The movie itself certainly shaped the future of animated movies, but the one thing this costume brags over the others is the option for a third wheel. That's right, its Donkey, and its time for waffles.

10. Bert and Ernie

The pinnacle of friendship, these two have had their fair share of arguments, but have never failed to resolve them. Seriously, just look at them. They're adorable. And their sweaters are just awesome. These two represent all the best things in a relationship, so why not be them for Halloween? Oh yeah, don't forget a rubber ducky!

These are just some of our favorites, but the options for couples costumes are limitless. Try these on or think of your own! Happy Halloween!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
