Conquer Life By Refusing To Apologize

Don't apologize for feeling something.

I want to stop apologizing for things - things I’m not really sorry for, or things I shouldn’t feel sorry for. Things that I don’t HAVE to be or feel sorry for.

Stop apologizing for being different. Don't say sorry because you don’t like a song that your friend played for you, or a video that they sent you. You have the right to like what you like and dislike what you don’t.

You can be your own person without making yourself feel small, just because you could make someone feel uncomfortable. Obviously, don’t go out of your way to upset other people, or make them feel bad, but don’t walk on eggshells just to please them.

You don’t have to pretend for the people who matter most in your life. They will understand, because chances are, they hate something that you love. Friends can like different things and have different interests.

Do not waste your life apologizing for things that you should not be sorry for. Find a way to say something in place of “sorry.” Don’t taint your life with constant apologies. It’s easier said than done, of course, but anywhere’s a start.

Keep your responses short and sweet - like this article - and you’ll be good to go.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
