We've all heard “get the ring before spring” and some of us have witnessed it on several occasions. Engagement season is upon us and you have to admit that you’re a little excited. The reason why I'm excited is because my best friend recently got engaged and I had to keep it a secret for three weeks! If you don’t know me, I can tell you that it was probably the worst thing ever (even when compared to finals).
To My Soon To Be Married Best Friend:
You do not realize how difficult it was to keep the biggest secret ever. All of the times when we Snapchatted, called each other, and I slept on your couch — it killed me not being able to tell you that you were about to become engaged! However, it finally happened. You’re engaged! I can’t wait to help you create a beautiful wedding, even though we all know that you’ve been planning it for years. You can finally start buying the things on your Amazon registry! I think that it will actually hit me that you’re getting married when you are trying on wedding dresses.
Fair warning: I’ll probably cry like a baby.
As a reminder, don’t forget to take in every moment from now until forever or, at least, until the wedding. Don’t forget the multiple flower decisions and all of the venues. I bet that it will be hard choosing a photographer! Know that your family friends will always have your back through thick and thin. Make sure that the groom's cake tastes good because I usually only eat that one.
Your fiancé is such a blessed man to have you in his life. Even though I officially didn’t meet him until you had been dating for a while, I knew that he was the one for you. The smile on your face when you see him makes me happy because you're happy. I wouldn’t want anything less for my best friend. I see a bright future for you two and I bet that your dog is glad that his humans are finally getting married.
I can’t wait to officially start wedding planning with you and making memories that we will tell your future children. Don’t forget that I am always up for massages or pool time during those crazy days of planning. I will always be by your side for every decision and I can’t wait to stand by your side on your wedding day!
