Dear College Graduate,
First of all, it's hard to put into words how proud I am of the woman you have become.
Since we've been small, you've paved the way. You furiously trail-blazed through high school, and through leadership positions and numerous "firsts" in college--joining a sorority, getting involved in clubs outside of school, building your resume with leadership position after leadership position, living on your own, the list goes on and on...
I can't thank you enough for this. I can't thank you enough for showing me the impact someone can make during school, and how much agency just one person can have. Who would have thought you could implement policies that would affect thousands of new students every year for the better, all while working on countless ways to foster intellectual discussion and important change during the crucial, hard conversations that occur on campus.
Also, thank you for showing that through the still unimaginably hard schedule that you maintained, you would still be my best friend. I'm not sure how I would have ever gotten through the rough patches, or any conflict in my own friendships without the late night FaceTime sessions and the Friday lunches.
Remember in this transition, that I'll always be there for you. I will always pick up the phone, and you will always have a place to stay with me. No matter what changes, we will always have each other.
Thank you for bravely showing me that the world needs more people like you. Thank you for letting me look up to you and emulate the work that you've done. Thank you for loving me through your work. Thank you for knowing your potential, and refusing to achieve anything less.
You have proven that everything is possible.
I have never been more proud.
Love always,
Your Sister
