We’re more than halfway done with 2016. Chances are, you’ve heard about The Odyssey or seen an article on your Facebook newsfeed from one of our 14,000 content creators, and counting. Only two years old, this rookie platform is making waves with millennials around the world. A combination of weekly articles and social media brews the perfect combination of creation and inspiration.

To the community that built my passion, thank you for showing me how powerful words can be. Although actions speak louder than words, people often forget how influential words can actually be. After all, what are words if you don’t mean what you say.

To the community that built my passion, you’ve shown me that it doesn’t matter what you are majoring in or are pursuing professionally. Simply put: if you love writing, join the conversation. Engage in all your interests, speak up about topics that concern you, foster creativity. The opportunities are endless.

To the community that built my passion, you’ve exposed me to a wide spectrum of individuals. I’ve gotten the opportunity to network with talented individuals at the touch of my fingertips (literally). Who knew that digital publishing could create a community without borders?

To the community that built my passion, you’re known as The Odyssey.

I showed interest in writing, you provided. I wanted to gain network opportunities, again, you came through. I wanted to be more in touch with my passion, and you built it up even more.

Like I said, it’s 2016. There are 14,000+ of me out there. It’s a “for millennials, by millennials” movement. Whether you’re a talker or listener, writer or reader—everyone has a story worth sharing. Cliché as it is, it’s true. So join the community that built my passion, and hopefully can build yours too.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
