Top Ten Common College New Years Resolutions

At the start of this new college semester, I decided to ask a couple of students what their new year's resolutions were for college. Here is a list of the most repetitive answers I received.

1. Utilize the University's gym

2. Eat healthier

3. Stop going home so often

4. Make more friends on living hall

5. Earn a 4.0 for the Spring Semester

6. Get ahead in classwork

7. Attend annual office hours

8. Do not procrastinate

9. Enjoy going out more

10. Pay attention in long drawn-out lectures

Whether or not you relate to these resolutions or not im sure at some point you have thought of doing one of these things. If you're passionate about it, hop on it and get to work. Grab friends and get some encouragement from those who love you.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
