Here's What Is Coming To Netflix This January

Hello (fellow) Netflixers! Netflix and Chillers? Whatever you call yourself if you’re a nonstop indulger of the beautiful on-demand Internet streaming media, AKA Netflix. Please pay attention to the PSA below.

A new year naturally means new shows and movies on Netflix. Hallelujah! This message may be vital for those college students still on break and in need of something to binge watch for the remainder two or three weeks. Don’t worry, I am right there with you. As usual, there is a random, but amazing selection coming throughout the next month. The following chronological list contains all of the titles that will be released on Netflix in January 2016. The list contains titles that have deemed most popular and most notable, by myself, for your overindulging pleasure.

January 1

2 Fast 2 Furious (2003): The first sequel to The Fast and the Furious, which later turned out to be one of the greatest movie series in history.

Along Came Polly (2004): Ben Stiller’s character falls in love with his old classmate played by Jennifer Aniston. This movie is a classic.

Bring It On: In It to Win It (2007) & Bring It On: Fight to the Finish (2009): The fourth and fifth sequel to the famous cheerleading movie collection; Bring It On.

Catwoman (2004): Selina Kyle stars at DC Comics’ famous Catwoman.

The Celebrity Plastic Surgeons of Beverly Hills: Season 1: This one just sounds extremely interesting and falls right within the ridiculous reality TV shows that come out of Hollywood.

Meet the Parents (2000) & Meet the Fockers (2004): These classic comedies are sure to be appreciated as many students spend time with their families over the holidays. Staring Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro will keep you laughing throughout both films.

Pride & Prejudice (2005): Jane Austen’s beloved novel comes to life staring Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet and Matthew Macfadyen as Mr. Darcy. This movie showed us that we all want to be, “Completely and perfectly and incandescently happy."


January 4

Training Day (2001): One of Denzel Washington’s most memorable, from which he took home the Academy Award for Best Actor.


January 5

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 10: It’s not hard to believe that this hysterical show is already on season 10.

New Girl: Season 4: This popular Fox TV series is perfect to binge watch during winter break. Catch up on season 4 before season 5 airs on Fox January 5th, 2016.


January 13

Parks and Recreation: Season 7: A college student favorite.


January 15

Degrassi: The Next Class: Season 1: All 90’s babies remember the 14 seasons of the popular show, Degrassi. Degrassi: The Next Class is a Netflix reboot of the series and it is sure to draw attention to the older and younger crowds. Unfortunately, Drake probably won’t be making an appearance.
