The lives of Olivia Pope, Huck, Abby, Fitz, Mellie, Cyrus and more are anything but normal. So are the lives of college students. Here are some everyday situations that could easily be described by ABC's hit show "Scandal".
1. When you click with someone and you instantly become best friends.
"You're weird. Weird is good."
2. When you don’t get a text/snap back.
“Not all fairy tales have happy endings, my dear.”
3. When you’re out with your friends on the weekend and you feel like you can take on anyone and anything.
“I am not the girl the guy gets at the end of the movie. I am not a fantasy. If you want me, earn me!”
4. When you make your friends skip class to hang out with you.
“We all do terrible things.”
5. Making it through your last class of the day.
“Cheers, baby! I live to fight another day.”
6. Motivating yourself for an oral presentation or speech.
“I am a lion up there. I own that room. I work for it.”
7. When you think about all the work you have yet to get done but still decide to watch Netflix instead.
“It hurts until it doesn’t. You think it’s going to break you, but it won’t. You may not sleep as well at night, but you will be fine. Numb, but numb and fine are the same.”
8. When you’re getting served at the dining hall.
“The First Lady would like her chips, sir.”
9. When you finally convince that one friend to go out and you relay it to the rest of the group chat.
“It’s handled.”
10. Pulling all-nighters.
“Gladiators don't get to have feelings. We rush into battle. We're soldiers. We get hurt in the fight, we suck it up, and we hold the line, and we don't question.”
11. When someone tries to talk to you and you haven't even taken a sip of your first cup of coffee.
“You may be an animal, but I am a monster. And I am much more terrifying than you can ever imagine.”
12. Repeating “I’m going to fail this” multiple times while studying for a test with friends.
“I am being dramatic?”
