Obama and Biden have had good run the last 8 years. If only your college experience lived up to their dynamic presidency and friendship. Well, good news! As it turns out, we might not be so different after all.

1. When you bring your freshman friends out for the first time.

2. When you leave for vacation but can't stand the person subleasing for your roommate.

3. When you proofread your classmate's essay and can only imagine how they ended up with this as their final draft.

4. When you're ranting about your day and someone tries to reason with you.

5. When you pretend to like your best friend's new boyfriend, but you're really just jealous that he's cutting into your bonding time.

6. When you see your dad for the first time in forever and he doesn't disappoint with the dad jokes.

7. When you go to the bar and your friend convinces you it's a good idea to make a move in your drunken stupor.

8. When you start daydreaming of the perfect man while mindlessly swiping through Tinder at 2:00 a.m. on a Tuesday.

9. When you've been so busy that by the time you realize you're starving, it's been four days and you've only eaten a fruit snack and handful of shredded cheese.

10. When your professor won't give you an extension on your project, but you have to stay on his good side to do well in the class.

11. When you can't believe your best friend is graduating, but have to be reminded that it's already been four years and you're somehow graduating too.

12. When you and your squad coordinated matching Halloween costumes, but one friend refused to go along with it.

13. When you throw a party and are desperately trying to even out the guy-girl ratio.

14. When you go home for Thanksgiving and your mom makes you actually eat your vegetables.

15. When you've been stocking up on cups from the dining hall all year and you're pretty sure you could furnish your entire apartment with them next year.

16. When your classmate thinks you should keep cramming, but you refuse to read another page without taking a fun study break.

17. When you tag along with your friend to her research lab for the first time and have no idea what anything is or what it does.

18. When there's a protest going on outside, but your mom already heard about it and texted begging you not to go because it's "too dangerous."

19. When you call your friend from high school that you haven't seen in years, but you know you're still BFFs.

20. When your roommates all conveniently go out of town days before April Fools' Day and they got you good last year.

21. When you try to be an adult and do your taxes for the first time, but have no idea what you're doing.

22. When the creepy guy at the bar comes over and hits on you so you quickly make a game plan with your BFF.

23. When you've had enough social interaction and retreat into your room for a weekend of binge-watching Netflix alone.

24. When you forgot you had a paper due in 20 minutes and hope no one noticed you just copied and pasted the Wikipedia page of your topic.

25. When you agreed to have a chill wine night with your crew, but someone drank too much and wants to turn it up a notch.

26. When you find out you're watching a movie in lecture.

27. When you find a glimmer of hope in your tunnel of student debt.

28. When you actually prepared for a class presentation.

29. When you've been reading your philosophy textbook all weekend and question everything you've ever known to be true.

30. When you're about to graduate after your four-year term, but you know you've made the best friends anyone could ask for.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
