1. Hearing everyone talk about staying active and healthy in college but constantly being too tired and too hungry to make any substantial strides towards being "fit."
After a few weeks or
even months of working out you start to realize that you really don't have
your life as together as you thought you did.
2. When you have three tests, an eight-page paper and 10,000 other things in one week and it's not even a test week ... yet.
This actually is me.
3. When a professor says they'll do something to help your grade in a class ... and they don't.
It's more painful when you realize that it's pretty rare to find that one professor sent from Heaven itself who sees your distress and agrees to help you out.
4. Finals.
Starbucks is the lifejacket of every student on college campuses.
5. Walking into or realizing you're in the wrong class.
This has probably
happened to about ninety percent of you, as much as you wish it didn't.
6. Pulling a 3.8 GPA your freshman year ...
7. ... and then seeing your 3.0 GPA sophomore year.
Aw, well.
For some people it's the reverse. Nonetheless, it still happens. And if this hasn't happened to you in some shape or form then I don't know what to tell you.
8. And you know that since you've started college you've developed some pretty essential life skills.
I know that I can eat a whole bag of Doritos in under 10 minutes.
9. "You can do this ten page research paper for an extra one and a half points on your final for this intro class that you are only taking to fulfill your university requirements."
10. Somehow making it through until the end of the spring semester.
Side note: I am these two morphed into one.
11. Missing a day or two of class is basically like missing a week.
12. Not having enough time to sleep or eat or breathe during any given week.
And it's not as if this special feeling (i.e. chaos-induced exhaustion) is reserved for test weeks. No, this can happen at any point in time. It can even happen the week before a major test week.
13. Getting an 89.9 or a 69.9 in a class.
14. Being late during your first week of classes fall semester of your freshman year.
15. Only attending an event because free food was promised.
16. When your paycheck comes in and you can finally buy groceries.
17. If you've developed any goals in college, aside from realistic life goals, it's being as lazy as possible whenever you can.
My best friend wants to try every taco in Texas. She's such an inspiration to me.
18. That one class that you dread so much because it actually puts you to sleep.
19. Checking the syllabus just in case you were wrong and finding out that that bulky paper that you thought was due next week is actually due tomorrow.
20. Knowing that college isn't just about being in a perpetual state of exhaustion.
21. It's also the place where you get in touch with your I-really-don't-care-enough-so-I'm-going-to-wear-this-snuggie-to-class-today side.
You can't pull that off in the real world quite as much or as well as you can in college.
Live it up, guys!
