Most college students are packing up their bags and heading home to spend some time with their family over Thanksgiving break. Without a doubt, the majority of college students cherish this multiple day break. There is so much to look forward to and this also marks the last few weeks to the end of the fall semester. As a freshman, I cannot believe how fast my first year is going. I know I will thoroughly enjoy this break.

First, having a break from schoolwork and quizzes eases the stress of a college student.
It's healthy to have time to relax and give your mind a mental rest. Besides ramen noodles and chips, this is the first time in a while students will have a home cooked meal. Your parent's food has never tasted better. In addition, sitting around the table filled with delicious dishes will make you feel thankful to be well fed and you will admire other blessings.
Thanksgiving break helps us reconnect to relatives we haven't seen in months or since the last family reunion. Besides your family, you will also be making plans with friends returning home. It feels like forever since you hung out with the best people ever, but this break is just one of many opportunities to catch up and reminisce about old times. This is also a chance to make a few new memories before you plan to see them around the holidays.
Another exciting part of break is being able to go Black Friday shopping. When it comes to money, college students are always looking for ways to save and with Christmas right around the corner it's smart to buy some gifts now. Nothing says fun than rushing around your favorite store to indulge in all the sales.
Overall, just Thanksgiving break in general is something to be grateful for. Without it, we as college students would probably go insane. Don't forget to eat plenty of food and remind your loved ones how thankful you are to be involved in their lives. When classes start up again, just remind yourself that the semester is almost done. We are so close to tackling our first semester of college for this year. There are just a few short weeks remaining until Christmas break, which is one of the most joyful times of the year. Enjoy your break and Happy Thanksgiving!
