Ever since my early high school days, Chipotle has been the destination to hang out with friends while also getting a filling, and definitely tasty, meal. Issues arose when I set off for college without a car, a.k.a. a means of transportation to get to Chipotle every other day. After repetitive meals at Dhall for the first few months of college, it’s not surprising that I began to crave Chipotle on a regular basis. This is when my few friends with cars become my lifesavers in the form of burrito providers, and all was well with the world.
But then, the disaster of E Coli struck! Those around me were discouraged by this outbreak and decided to steer clear of Chipotle in hopes of not getting sick. I, on the other hand, remained true to what I believed in and continued to show support for my beloved burrito bowl. The deliciousness was worth the risk and, anyways, I had always had a knack for living on the wild side.
I kept in mind that everyone makes mistakes at some points in their lives, yet a true friend or lover does not give up on that person simply because of their mistakes. One must remain true and supportive in their loved ones times of need, which is exactly what I did. I believe that everyone deserves a second chance, perhaps maybe even a third, as well as the fact that everyone has some bad days (or months, or years). And in the end, I even got a free burrito bowl for my love and support through my love’s hard times. Bae always pulls through -- have some faith.
