The fall semester is here, meaning it is time for students to move back into their college living spaces for the 2019 - 2020 school year. For those who haven't extensively prepared by getting all necessary items and decorations, here is a list of the best places to find certain categories of items for your apartment or living space for the best prices.

1. Marshalls.

If you are looking for comforters, curtains, sheets, and pillows, Marshalls has many great brands and quality items for a discounted price. If you are searching for a great place to find the aesthetic and decor for your room, Marshalls should be considered and browsed through first due to their low priced items. Marshalls also has a clearance section for decor items for those who do not want to spend too much on bedroom items.

2. HomeGoods.

HomeGoods is your best bet to find the perfect sized rug due to their large and decent priced selection. There is also a large variety of decoration items such as picture frames and lamps at HomeGoods which you can find for great prices if you search through all of their inventory. There is no need to pay a large sum of money for rugs and bedroom decor and HomeGoods provides unique and aesthetic items that are not overpriced.

3. Target

Back to school season means that many retailers offer deals and discounts for students. If you are searching for a store that offers lower-priced kitchen supplies, consider browsing at Target first. Target offers student deals on kitchen hardware such as plates, bowls, utensils, pots, and pans. Target has a large selection of colors and styles to please the aesthetic of your kitchen for low prices.

4. Bed, Bath, and Beyond

The best-priced retailer to get appliances such as toasters, vacuums, blenders, makeup mirrors, and coffee makers is Bed, Bath, and Beyond. If you are looking for an apartment or dorm wonderland with many sales, consider shopping here first in order to check required appliances off your list. Bed, Bath, and Beyond offers a 20% off student discount which you can inquire about at checkout.

5. Kirklands

If you are searching for the final decor touches to bring your apartment or rooms aesthetic together, Kirklands offers quality pieces for great prices. There is a large selection of pillows for beds and couches as well as miscellaneous decor items at Kirklands, making it a great final stop to tie in any last decorations. Kirklands offers a very large clearance section as well as multiple sales that can keep your costs low.

Shopping for an apartment can be a difficult task, but breaking up your shopping list into these categories will make your experience easier. Make sure to ask about student discounts when you checkout anywhere to lower your overall costs even more.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
