As the weather gets warmer, you begin to think about packing up all your belongings and leaving for the summer. One important thing that won't be coming with you home this summer is your college roommate. After many late nights studying for exams or heart to hearts about the boy who didn't text back, you became more than just roommates. You became best friends. It will be weird not waking up to the sound of their alarm clock every morning, or coming home to them after a long day of classes. Before you leave for the summer, thank your roommate for everything they have done throughout the semester.
Thank you for cleaning up my side of the room. I know my closet always looks like it threw up, but thanks for putting my clothes in my hamper. Whenever the room began to smell, you were the one to always take care of it. Without you, there would still be food in the fridge from September.
Thank you for always being honest with me, whether it is how bad my morning breath smells or my skirt is a little too short. Thanks for always telling me the truth and never sugar coating anything. Honesty is key in a friendship.
Thanks for always taking pictures with me, and then retaking pictures because I didn't like the first one. More importantly, thank you for helping me with the caption.
Thank you for letting me borrow your clothes. You always have the perfect shirt to wear with my new jeans, and the perfect pair of shoes to go with my dress. Thank god, we are the same size. I don't know what I am going to do without your closet this summer.
Thank you for always going out with me. I always have a friend on the dance floor and someone to take a shot with. Together, we somehow always make it home safe and sound.
On nights when we want to stay in and eat pizza, you are always there. Thanks for crying over "The Notebook" with me and telling our life stories late at night. Girls nights in are the best with you!
Lastly, thank you for being my best friend. I wouldn't want to survive freshman year with anyone else, and I appreciate you always dealing with me. I know I am a moody, messy, emotional roomie, and I am so lucky to have an awesome roommate. Summer is only a few short months, and I can't wait to be back in the fall.
