Whether you go out every night, or barely at all, here are some things you've probably encountered while at a party.

1. Getting a pair of shoes ruined

It's a good idea to wear clothes and shoes that you don't care too much about to a party because there's a good chance they may be ruined. Whether its drinks spilling on you or getting your feet stepped on repetitively, it's smart to save your fancy shoes for a different scene, and put on some other shoes for the night.

2. Puddles... lots of puddles

Whether people are purposefully throwing up their drinks in the air or its spilled accidentally, stuff is going to end up on the floor. Either avoid the puddles altogether or be careful not to slip in them.

3. Hearing "Mr. Brightside" play

"Mr. Brightside" by The Killers is a classic song that happens to be very popular among us college kids. It plays at least once at most parties and when it comes on, we all break out into dance and resemble Conan, above.

4. Girls going to the bathroom in groups

We don't really know why we do it, it just happens. There are strength in numbers... right?

5. Sweaty People

A small frat house and a large crowd is a sauna waiting to happen.

6. A girl standing/dancing on a table

This is a very common sight. A girl gets some courage and decides to get up and dance on a table, counter, etc. Sometimes this ends fine with no injuries but other times, a fall occurs.

7. The jungle juice

Jungle juice is a combination of who knows what prepared by the hosts. It's not always a good idea to drink this, but if you decide to, just make sure you trust the hosts that made it.

These are just a few things you may experience at a college party, but ya never know exactly what's going to happen.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
