Ah, college.... the best/worst four years of your life. These are the years that truly define who you are. The ups, the downs, the strange and the seemingly normal all come together and shape us into the people we are today. Even though we are different people, we all share a common bond in the experiences we share, and here are instances of college as told by Parks and Recreation.

1. When you first try dorm food

Ahhh dorm food. The least satisfying part of living in the dorms (besides the lofted beds) is having to eat the food that sits out for hours at a time. As soon as you try it, you'll miss home cooked food and wish for an unlimited amount of chipotle.

2. When your teacher decides to cancel class

I never truly understood this feeling until I got to college. The feeling of class being cancelled is unlike any other and after you find out it's cancelled you decide to treat yourself to food or a nap.

3. When you have to give a presentation in a lecture hall

Coms 130. That is all you need to know.

4. Going to classes when you're sick

After having mono first semester, I can confirm that this is one of the worst things you have to experience. The load of college classes plus other activities while trying to make yourself healthy is almost impossible, especially since all you want to do is go back to your room and fall asleep.

5. When you get writer's block during an essay

We all have it at some point. Writer's block is hard to break, especially when you're on a time crunch. When you have multiple essays to work on, its hard to even start if you don't know what to type.

6. Power Naps

If you don't already know, power naps will be your best friend. Whether its a 2 hour or 15-minute nap, getting more sleep in your sleep deprived schedule will not only make you feel better, but you will be more productive.

7. When you go to a social event and you see the food table

Being in a sorority, I have plenty of events that don't have food. On a rare occasion though, I'll see it... the glorious food table. What would us college kids do without food?

8. Getting a good grade on a test or paper

The moment when you realized all your hard work paid off is one of the best moments. That A on your test or paper was well deserved and in celebration, you go out and "treat yo self".

9. Meeting your best friends

College is the time where you can meet your best friends. They will be there for you through thick and thin and you couldn't imagine life without them all.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
