Midterms Week, as told by Memes

Midterms week: the best time of the semester. Insert sarcasm. The week (or two weeks) where no makeup can cover up the bags under your eyes that came from depriving sleep and you become inmune to caffeine.

Here's a few moment every college student has been through when it comes to surviving midterms week:

1. When you find time to take a nap.

2. When you realize you had two weeks to write that ten page essay and you wasted your time:

3. Or when you decide to stay up to write that essay:

4. When you decide to highlight what's important.

5.

6. When you get your first C.

7. When you realize C's don't matter as long as you don't fail the class and don't have to repeat it again in a year.

8. When on syllabus week, the teachers tell you how much of attendance you need to pass the subject

.

9.

.

10. When you see your report card thinking you would fail a class and ended up getting a C-

11. When a test gets cancelled after you spent two nights studying.

12. Or... When that test gets cancelled and you didn't study

13.

14. When your friends are debating whether the answer to the third question was "4" or "6" and you got "35"

15.

16. When your best friend from college doesn't show up to class.

17. When it's the first day of class and the teacher asks everyone to say something about themselves.

18. When you're the first one to turn in the hardest test in the semester

19. Meanwhile, your answers were... When you're hoping the teacher takes pity and doesn't fail you.

20.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
