To those of you who haven’t yet began binge-watching "The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," you are seriously missing out. The Netflix original series is a sitcom written partially by Tina Fey, (so you know it’s hysterical). The show revolves around the life of Kimmy Schmidt, a 29-year-old woman who was rescued after having spent 15 years in a bunker. Kimmy grew up in Indiana, and was kidnapped by a reverend in the eighth grade who convinced her the apocalypse was upon them. Consequently, when she is freed and moves to New York City, she is not exactly up-to-date on current events, pop-culture, or any kind of societal norms. Clad in 90’s scrunchies and jean jackets, Kimmy adjusts to life in 2015 with the help of her new gay roommate, Titus Andromedon, her crackhead landlord Lillian and snobby rich boss, Jaqueline. If you haven’t checked this show out yet, I seriously recommend adding it to your “must-watch" list on Netflix.

Kimmy’s entire persona is built around positivity. Every move she makes begins with good intentions, but she always ends up in hilarious and bizarre situations. As I began watching the show I realized Kimmy’s life is not so different than the life of a college student. Kimmy is trying to figure out how to become a successful adult, just like the rest of us. Here are a few college norms as told by Kimmy and her friends:

1. You're constantly struggling to keep it together.

2. You try to act sophisticated, but you actually have no idea what you’re doing

.

3. When other people complain about their nonexistent problems.

4. Attempting to adult like:

5. Deep down you’re really still a kid at heart:

6. You try to keep up with all the millennial lingo, but it all gets so confusing!

7. Your friends want you to go out, but you’re too exhausted

.

8. It’s safe to say your funds are extremely lacking:

9. When you finally get a night off to go out with your friends:

10. People try to start drama, but you just shake it off like:

11. The look you get when professors assign homework over the weekend:

12. But all your hard work eventually pays off when you get good grades.

See? You and Kimmy aren't that different! If she can make it through fifteen years in a bunker, you can make it to your 8 a.m. class. Go be unbreakable.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
