Welcome to college life, kiddos! Prepare yourself for a never ending sea of essays and assignments, fatty dining hall food, going broke, never getting enough sleep, and the best memories you will make. Now that summer is over and the dreaded month of September is finally upon us, we have to resume our life at our home away from home. We love college, but let's be honest, sometimes it kicks us right in the ass. College life can sometimes get the best of us, even though it's "the best four years of our lives."
During my college career, I've noticed I'm starting to relate to reality TV stars WAY more than I'd ever thought I would. Don't be alarmed; I don't mean I'm drinking a bottle of wine every night in my monogrammed Prada bathrobe and getting into cat fights at dinner parties. Instead, I've noticed that the things I find myself and my friends saying every day, sounds a lot like reality TV stars. If these stars had gone to college alongside us, I imagine their reactions to college life would fit right in.
Sleep is your best friend.
Any class before 10 a.m. is a total killer.
You meet so many people, it's hard to keep track.
There's one day of class every week known as your "death day."
Sometimes, you go a little crazy on the weekends.
You're forced to take core classes that you don't want.
You wish you could just ignore all your problems.
Some days, social interaction is just too hard.
You learn (or at least try) not to sweat the small stuff.
Saturday's are your safe haven.
This comes out of your mouth at least once a day ...
There comes a point in the semester where it seems like there is no hope for your grades ...
But somehow you always manage to pull through.
Yes, college life can be hard, but at least rich, middle-aged housewives know exactly how we feel.
