Do you find yourself dreaming of warmer weather? Checking the calendar for the countdown till spring break? Do you often catch yourself scrolling through pictures of tropical landscapes? If so, you may suffer from...

SPRING FEVER

Luckily, I can help you fix that.

1. Plan a short trip somewhere warm for late February or early March. This does NOT have to be for spring break. Just take an impromptu trip to visit a friend who goes to school in Florida, or that distant cousin in California. Find the cheapest and easiest way to escape for the weekend.

2. Find your inner fitness junkie and join a swim class or yoga class. A swim class will remind you of bikini season and warmer months ahead, a yoga class will soothe your mind and put you at ease. When you are feeling tension and anger at the world's climate, physical activity can really help.

3. Plan a week long spring break trip. Instead of staying home, save up money for a fantastic but relaxing spring break trip. Consider ditching the typical 'party' spring break plans, for a weekend at a spa in southern California. Trust me, it will be way more fun and about the same price.

4. Start planning your summer closet. This spring and summer is going to be a colorful and patterned season in the fashion world. Plan ahead and start stocking up -- don't even look at the rack of clearance sweaters.

5. Apply for a job that is outside this summer. So working isn't super fun, but if you have to work, you may as well work outside in the sun and warmth. This will give you a chance to soak up the beautiful weather before the school year again.

6. CLEAR OUT YOUR LIFE. Yes, spring clean. Call your mom/dad/grandma/grandpa and ask for their advice on how to de-clutter your room and life. No, you do not need that spring break shirt you won at a bar in Miami from Freshman year.

7. Go outside. Yes, the weather still sucks. On the small chance it doesn't one day, use that opportunity to take a 5 minute walk.

8. Try something new. From a new class or subject to reading a new book, this can leave you feeling accomplished and satisfied.

9. Branch out socially. You have like 200 people total in all your classes, try branching out and talking to someone new. No, your best friend doesn't count.

10. Focus in school. This will at least help you in your future and when you have to be an adult down the line. LOL.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
