College is a brand new time in everyone's life. All the people in your class are on an equal playing field. You can be whoever you want to be and meet tons of new people. But there is something that will inevitably happen: You will form one, solid group of friends with whom you get meals, study, and do just about everything. And after a bit more time, roles of people in the group will take place. One of the most original friend groups has to be the six-some from the television show "Friends."

1. The Rachel

It's not just a haircut from the 90's that many women want to forget they ever had, this gal can sometimes be a little absentminded. Don't worry, they outgrow it very quickly, just like Rachel. They can be overwhelmed by college and not always know what to do with them self, but they quickly figure out who they are. She can be quite the flirt, but underneath, she is someone to have around and is a fierce friend.

2. The Joey

The loveable goof of the friend group. They can also be a bit spacey, but who isn't? Like Rachel, they love to flirt, but are always faithful to the ones they love. One thing to always note about this friend: They don't share food, something Joey says multiple times throughout the series.

3. The Monica

This person is the mother/father of the group. If anything ever happens, they love to be in control when it comes to the planning and hosting of the event. Because they will always be the planner and host of a party. They love everything around the party. Their space is never messy, and everything they do is completely thought out. You will learn to lean on this friend when you're in need.

4. The Chandler

The go-with-the-flow friend. They're up for anything at any time, and are often the comedic relief in any tense situation. Their timing may not always be the best, but when they make you laugh, it's almost always a good thing you're laughing. Like everyone else, they're be there for you. Hey, is that a song?

This is the childlike, innocent, and often incredibly friendly. Ironically enough, they almost always have the most common sense of anyone in the group, and there are many different reasons as to why. They may tease you, but it's only because they love you so much, and they know you won't take it seriously.

5. The Phoebe

6. The Ross

This friend is the more traditional of the friend group. They're often highly intelligent and the things they say can come off as slightly condescending, but they never mean it. Ross may not be the favorite character in the television show, but that does not mean that they make a bad friend. One thing people have to say about Ross was that he was always there for his friends, even if he doesn't say the right thing.

One thing that is certain, these are friends that you will have for years to come. Distance, heart break and drama came between this sextet, but they were always there when the others needed them the most.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
