I am a young, college educated woman, and I supported Trump. Does that shock you? Well compared to the media's statistics, it should. As of January 20th, 2017, Donald Trump is our 45th President of the United States. To all of you who thought it would not happen, reality check, it did. Yes, he said some vulgar things, but just like you chose to support Hillary after Benghazi and her emails, we chose to support Trump after his words. Actions speak louder than words, and Hillary's spoke volume's in a negative fashion.
Why do college women support Trump? Most of us who go to college are doing it for ourselves because we believe we can make a difference in the world. Trump himself stated in his inaugural address, "the power goes back to the people." We finally have a chance to make a difference, since we have a president who is not our standard politician.
He is not trained in pleasing the media, as we saw throughout his entire campaign; he owned up to the vulgar things he said, and just because I still support him after his 'locker room' talk, does not mean I support rape. Comparingly, I could say you support our troops being ambushed and killed because you supported Clinton, but I do not believe that is so. Oh and do not get me started on these protests. Yes, it is your right to peacefully protest as long as you are not disrupting traffic or damaging your own cities; that is breaking the law.
Some of us may not have agreed with President Obama's inauguration, however, we did not protest and rally; we went to work and continued about our business. Trump does not actually support rape and racism, the media is constantly feeding you bullshit because it sells headlines. You do not like Trump? You may want to get over it and hope that he decides to make a difference these next four years. Here is a big shout out to the young men and women who are educated enough to have an opinion, and to those who go against the grain, sticking to what they believe in.
