Music festivals have transformed the way we experience music. They have turned essentially vacant spaces into crowded musical playgrounds. Music festivals bring a unique blend of individuals together in a space where you are free to be yourself and learn more about art and culture.

Music festivals make you happy

Music festivals are good for your soul, and I mean that. You can stray away from your daily rituals and just focus on seeing the many artists you love all in a day. This experience is not only physically stimulating, but mentally stimulating as well. Music festivals actually bring you joy. It is scientifically proven that music flushes the body with dopamine, which is a neurotransmitter that makes you feel good. Music also generates the release of norepinephrine, which is a hormone that brings you euphoria.

Music festivals can change your perspective

For anyone that has attended a festival, you know that it is a blissful place where you see and experience many aspects of life in a new way. Simple actions such as getting to know people that you would otherwise never meet, listening to a band you never thought you would listen to, or meeting that up-and-coming painter at the art tent expands your outlook as an individual.

Music festivals make you more culturally aware

Art and culture help us celebrate how diverse our society is. Festivals create an atmosphere that makes the world around you more visually and conceptually stimulating. Festivalgoers are given the opportunity to experience more than just the music they came to see. It is proven that people that attend a culture rich event such as a festival are more likely to report good health than those who had not. Art provides us with a greater sense of self-understanding and evokes emotion and opinion in the viewer.
