6 Reasons Clark Kent Would Be My Romantic Kryptonite over Superman Every Time

Clark Kent is such an underrated character and he has much more of a personality than Superman.

Don't get me wrong, my favorite DCU character is Batman, but I've always liked Clark Kent better than Bruce Wayne. Clark Kent actually works a real job as a journalist while Bruce is kind of just a shadow figure behind Wayne Enterprises. We're not talking about Batman and Superman we're talking about Superman and Clark.

1. You'll see Clark Kent more often than Superman.

Superman is an icon. Clark isn't. You'd have to meet with Superman in the privacy of your home because if he's in a public area there will be many fans trying to ask him questions (and there's no way he'd say, "No questions, please, I'm eating lunch with my girlfriend," because that would start more questions and put a target on your back.) Clark would be able to enjoy his time with you. (Before he would have to change into to Superman to save the world, of course.)

2. Clark is a journalist.

This means he at least tries to search for the truth and won't form any opinions until the absolute bottom line.

3. Clark is dorky while Superman has a more dominating personality.

I don't know about you, but dorky boys are so much better than guys with barely a personality. A guy that can make you laugh while simultaneously acting or inspiring you to act like a fool is a guy that's worth being with. Superman seems like the only thing he has going for him is the air of mystery.

4. Clark cares about his family.

Clark cared so much about his adoptive father that he almost exposed his powers to save his father (Man of Steel, 2013). Clark didn't want to lose him, but his father knew it wasn't the right time for Clark to become Superman.

5. Clark doesn't have the world resting on his shoulders (or at least he doesn't show it)

Superman has felt the weight of the world since he became aware of its problems. Clark only knows what he writes about. Other than the loss of his father he can be as naive as he wants.

6. Clark doesn't have girls throwing themselves at him

Clark is a dorky guy, and Superman is seen as brawny; bringing strength to a town when needed. Superman wears a tight form-fitting uniform while Clark wears shirts that hide the brawn of Superman.

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
