Hear Her Roar: A Short Story About YouTuber Claire Wineland's Short But Giant Life

She was 21. Claire Wineland had been an inspiration to many people and had gotten many people's attention through her YouTube videos. What was she talking about that had made everyone so shocked but had also shown them compassion, due that her main topic of discussion was death.

Unfortunately, Claire was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at a very young age and death had always looked over her. Much more than a normal person because he lifespan was already cut in half. Cystic fibrosis gets worse as you age when you age and have this disease mucus builds up in your lungs inhabiting your ability to breathe as well as giving your body digestive problems.

On her YouTube channel, Claire would discuss her treatment plan and give hospital stay updates. She wanted everyone to be okay with dying. Not just dealing with her own death but for other people to talk more openly about it because it is apart of life. Claire had originally decided if she was ever to get sick enough she was not going to get a lung transplant. When a patient is put into the donor list for organs they have to be sick enough to need the surgery but be able to make it through recovery and you are also entered in by the second so another patient could be ahead of you but if you are in desperate need of the surgery you will get it.

In May of this year, Claire had decided that she was going to get the surgery because her overall health was rapidly declining and she was not able to do her daily routine involving things she had loved. Claire was a public speaker by profession and she was amazing at it. Claire knew how to capture a crowds attention and keep them listening. She had given Ted Talks and interviews with other YouTubers expanding her following on that platform. Claire was different no matter what she had to face with her illness she seized the day no matter what. She made the most of her 21 years on this earth. So I urge others to not take their lives for granted because there is always something to live for there is always tomorrow.

Though Claire did not get to live a long life she lived a full life. Her memory will live on through her videos. People will still constantly be inspired by her. She wanted people to know in order to live a full life you can't let anything hold you back and yes, of course, there will be the days where you feel like you just can't muster up the courage to get out of bed in the morning but you should because then it is even more time wasted. Another thing that Claire preached is to live life slowly. Though many people across the world tend to live life fast so much so that everything that your doing is planned out by the minute. It is important to savor the moments we have with the people we love and I personally believe that is one of the most important things that anyone can teach you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
