Ah, what a wonderful time. It is arguable that the time from Halloween to New Years is the greatest time of the year. Now that Halloween is over, we are moving on to Thanksgiving --which is highly looked over for Christmas. It is only a few weeks into November and everything Christmas is among us. These are some of the great things about Christmas.
1. The Movies
What better way to spend your free days than to cuddle up on the couch with coffee/ hot cocoa and watch few festive movies?
2. Starbucks Red Cups
Although I am super biased because I work at Starbucks, I have always loved the red cups that come out at the holiday times. Just walking into any of the stores during the holidays is so lovely because it is decorated so nicely, the cups are so pretty, and the holiday drinks are pretty dang good.
3. Food
My mom is an amazing cook. I always look forward to holidays because thats when mom makes all her specialties that she doesn't make often.
4. Shopping
I don't care about how crazy the crowds are on Black Friday, I love going shopping. It is a great day (more like middle of the night) to get a lot of your shopping done while getting some super nice deals.
5. Ugly Sweaters
This part is always so fun to be because everyone always goes out to get the ugliest, funniest Christmas sweater they can find.
6. The Music
I'm one of those weirdos that listens to Christmas music year round. I have multiple Christmas playlists on my Spotify account including "Pop Punk Christmas". Theres something about Christmas music that just puts me in such a good mood.
7. The Lights
Since I was a little girl, we have always driven around to look at the pretty lights. Theres something mesmerizing by the way they twinkle, especially when the snow falls on them. It is also cool to see how different every house that is decorated looks.
8. Presents
Let's be real, getting presents is super fun and cool. Free stuff! How could you hate that? But if you're like me, you love Christmas because giving presents is a great way to show how much you love and know someone to help brighten their day.
9. Candy Canes
Peppermint, Warheads, Sweet-tarts, Spree, etc. You name it, I'll eat the candy canes. Candy canes are always such a fun winter treat.
10. Scrooges
Although those that are all "Ba-humbug" about the holidays are quite annoying, I think it is quite comical to watch them hate the holidays so much. They don't have to be constantly spreading the Christmas cheer but they can at least try and find a way to enjoy it.
11. The Atmosphere
This is hands down my favorite part of Christmas. It is a super broad reason but when I think of Christmas I just think about how festive and jolly everything is. Theres decorations everywhere, there's music, and most people are in a more pleasant mood.
