We are a few weeks out from Thanksgiving but that seems to be the farthest thing from everyone’s minds. Is it just me or does Christmas come earlier and earlier every year? Thanksgiving has become just another day with family, an obstacle to the real holidays that society excepts, Christmas.

This year on October 29th the Hallmark channel started its countdown to Christmas, Santa’s already in the mall, and Christmas music is already on the radio. The target toy book has already come in the mail and any site online has the Christmas catalogue with the must-see gifts of the season.

Yesterday my neighbors put up there Christmas tree and got a wreath for there door. Don’t get me wrong I love Christmas but the first frost just happened here in Maine it feels a little early. I grew up believing the Christmas season started the day after Thanksgiving on Black Friday.

Despite what I might think the Christmas season is I better get on board with the Christmas Creeps, the idea that merchants and retailers bring out Christmas products before the traditional Christmas season, Black Friday. Check out a few of the best Christmas Creeps so far

1. Target

Target, a tried and true place to shop for the Holidays. It was one of the first catalogs delivered to my house this year. They don't mess around when it comes to the shopping season. From the decorations to the must-have toys of the season its a one stop place to buy a gift for anyone in the family.

2. Nordstrom

The most elegant decorations and the loveliest place to shop during the holidays. Like Target this store offers something for everyone in the family. Shoes, purses, clothes, jewelry are a few things to find for the holidays. Customer service is key during the shopping season where it can be stressful and I always know my mom feels at ease shopping in such a place.

With a holiday gift guide and the option of looking at Black Friday sneak peak Macy's has the attention of the public. An iconic store that immediately draws up images of the most epic Christmas as they offer some of the best sales around, valid online and in store. Shop from the comfort of your house or go to the nearest shop.

4. Lord and Taylor

Looking for a holiday outfit? Lord and Taylor has you covered for the whole family. Either decked out in sequins, velvet or traditional reds they offer the latest trends and will have you looking fly for the holidays.

5. Best Buy

Electronics have become a key element to Christmas gifts especially as the world continues to grow and develop with technology. It doesn't matter the age from the newest iPhone to the newest iPad, Best Buy has you covered. With extensive listings online already detailing Black Friday don't miss out this Holiday season!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
