Los Angeles Police Department and Chris Brown had a standoff at the artist's home Tuesday, August 30th, as allegations of him threatening a woman with a gun are radioed in.
According to the woman, who fled in fear, said Brown pointed a gun at her and insisted she sign a non-disclosure agreement.
A crowd of reporters watched on as LAPD officers stood outside of Brown's house, as he refused to let them in. In the meantime, Brown, waiting for his lawyer, posted videos on his social media accounts.
Brown was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon according to the LA Times. Although, shortly after his arrest it was reported that Brown was released after posting a $250,000 bail, according to LA County jail records.
At approximately 3 a.m., the LAPD received a call from Baylee Curran, 25, came from outside of Brown's estate in San Fernando Valley, claiming Brown had pointed a gun at her head.
Mark Geragos, Brown's attorney, arrived at Brown's home prior to the warrant being served. Police reported no shots were fired.
Brown posted two videos on Instagram while inside the house, stating officers were outside his house. "So I don't sleep half the damn night I just wake up to these mother f--king helicopters, choppers is around, police out there at my gate," Brown ranted in one of his videos.
In the other, Brown criticized law enforcement and pleaded that he had done nothing wrong. "I ain't did s--t, I ain't going to do s--t." "I don't care y'all going to stay playing with me like I'm the villain out here, like I'm going crazy." "You're going to walk right up in here and you're going to see nothing you idiots. I'm tired of f--king dealing with you all, y'all the worst gang in the world, the police, and I said it."
As news has spread of Brown's arrest, celebrities have been showing much support for Brown. Ray J posted an Instagram video, which Brown captioned stating "Real friends!!!!" "The world will see!!! TRUST ME." These were Brown's first words since the standoff with LAPD.
Geragos tweeted that Brown was "out and well" and that the allegations against him were "demonstrably false."
On the other end, Curran linked a video to her Instagram page of an interview with TMZ, detailing the events that took place.
The court date is set for September 20, until then the world must wait for the final outcome.
