3 Places To Visit In Chicago During The Spring
Billie Daniels

Well, before my visit, I surely thought that there would be a bit of warmth to Chicago in the Spring or around this time. It was not until I had arrived at Navy Pier and had taken a lovely walk around downtown Chicago to visit and sightsee.

Oh, boy was I wrong, I was lucky enough to bring warm clothing just to be on the safe side but had forgotten about all the towering buildings and the wind from the Lake Michigan that made 78 degrees feel more like 54 degrees.

And I will also be so honest, so when I had first settled in and arrived it felt so warm, so I go and put on some shorts and a nice tank top and then boom, there’s a cold breeze of air that hits me in the parking garage of my hotel, yes I had to go and make some serious changes. But you live, and you learn, okay so let’s get started.

1. The Adler Planetarium

Aw yes, for those who love education and cosmos, The Adler Planetarium is the place to go. Located on Lake Shore Dr, The Adler Planetarium is sure to wow with exhibits and shows about our planets and solar system. But that doesn’t stop there they also have Alder After Dark Nights for a lovely date night on the lake. As well as Doane at Dusk which is a free chance to view through a telescope, Jupiter, Mars and even the moon!

2. The Sugar Factory

Gummy bear goblets, sexual chocolate drinks? I do believe that the Sugar Factory is the place to be for me. The sugar factory and the blend of food and sweets on top of sweets. This lovely attraction located near the Lake as well in Chicago is restaurant filled with delicious sweet eats as well as other delicious items to taste as well such as chicken and waffles, soups, but most importantly the drinks and sweets.

From sweet cake pops to chocolate covered almonds, the Sugar Factory serves up some great tasting treats. Let’s not forget to mention our delicious drinks as well such as American Honey, Chocolate Martinis, and my favorite Caramel Macchiato.

But the fun does not stop there this delicious restaurant also offers delicious tastes for your sweet tooth such as Gourmet Ice Cream sandwiches, fondues, or have a try at an insane Bacon Cheeseburger Milkshake, yes, I said bacon cheeseburger milkshake with an actual bacon cheeseburger inside. Thinking about taking a trip to Chicago soon, check out the Sugar Factory.

3. Nike Town Chicago

And finally, if you are a shoe lover, fashion lover, fitness lover, sports fan, then come check out Nike Town in Chicago. This is a great place to check out different styles of Jordan’s to Nike lab an upscale boutique for shoes and clothing. A great place with a great atmosphere, Nike Town is sure to wow you with clothing and fashion that you usually will only be able to find online. And no, Nike Town is not just dedicated to women’s and men’s as well.

This five-floor store with an elevator, how neat is that offers clothing and shoes for women, men, as well as children with a sports floor as well that offers a great variety of shoes as well as gear from jerseys to cool tees and bottoms. Trust me if you have not visited Nike Town in Chicago, do come, and check it out.

So, in conclusion, I will say that Chicago in the Spring can be very cold, I am sure that the Chicagoans are used to this type of weather. But even with all of the windy breezy weather, your day in Chicago in the Spring can still be spent doing great things while making lasting memories!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
