Well, before my visit, I surely thought that there would be a bit of warmth to Chicago in the Spring or around this time. It was not until I had arrived at Navy Pier and had taken a lovely walk around downtown Chicago to visit and sightsee.
Oh, boy was I wrong, I was lucky enough to bring warm clothing just to be on the safe side but had forgotten about all the towering buildings and the wind from the Lake Michigan that made 78 degrees feel more like 54 degrees.
And I will also be so honest, so when I had first settled in and arrived it felt so warm, so I go and put on some shorts and a nice tank top and then boom, there’s a cold breeze of air that hits me in the parking garage of my hotel, yes I had to go and make some serious changes. But you live, and you learn, okay so let’s get started.

This lovely attraction located near the Lake as well in Chicago is restaurant filled with delicious sweet eats as well as other delicious items to taste as well such as chicken and waffles, soups, but most importantly the drinks and sweets.
From sweet cake pops to chocolate covered almonds, the Sugar Factory serves up some great tasting treats. Let’s not forget to mention our delicious drinks as well such as American Honey, Chocolate Martinis, and my favorite Caramel Macchiato.
But the fun does not stop there this delicious restaurant also offers delicious tastes for your sweet tooth such as Gourmet Ice Cream sandwiches, fondues, or have a try at an insane Bacon Cheeseburger Milkshake, yes, I said bacon cheeseburger milkshake with an actual bacon cheeseburger inside. Thinking about taking a trip to Chicago soon, check out the Sugar Factory.
