Dollightful on Youtube is an American artist living in Seoul, South Korea. She makes videos refurbishing Monster High dolls into her own characters. While I didn’t think that this content would have been too appealing, I can’t stop watching.
First, Dollightful is certainly talented. She has a way with color and design that viewers simply need to see to understand. While each doll has similar techniques and styles, each finished product has their own personality and specific design.
She is a delight to listen to, as well. She’s obviously passionate about her work, and that is easily transferable to her viewers. It’s easy to get excited just listening to her. You are eager to watch the next step in her process, not just because it’s an interesting craft to watch, but because she is so excited to show you the next piece of her artistry.
As with many channels like hers, I always find that the creativity demonstrated with the content is transferred to viewers, too. It’s easy to feel inspired when watching someone you admire work. Watching Dollightful design characters, overcome roadblocks, and execute her craft inspires the artist inside of all of us.
Not only to bring inspiration to your own forms to art, but to branch out and try new crafts! Like Nail Career Education makes you want to do your own nails or Make Anything makes you want to test out a 3D printing pen. Dollightful makes me want to go out of my comfort zone and try new crafts.
Regardless of usual content interests, Dollightful is worth watching. I would recommend beginning with her Eveelution series, since I’ve watched them all multiple times, and then go from there. Her Wendigo refurbish is a great video too!
Happy watching!
