To The Men Who Cheat, I Hope You End Up With A Daughter (Or Two)

After discussing with my mum about the men in our lives who have cheated on us or the people we are close to, I got riled and wondered how they get their karma after doing something so awful to someone they "loved"? How come we went through months of heartache and distress wondering what could've possibly gone wrong yet they were fine because they had a "backup plan"? I remember constantly wanting to hurt him to the same degree he hurt me. She laughed, said it wasn't worth it, and simply replied with:

"Just hope he ends up with daughters."

She explained to me that cheaters would have a girl so they themselves could understand or see the pain their daughter's toxic boyfriends put them through. So THEY would understand that their actions, years ago, had a more intense effect than they realized.

I contemplated this for days and looked at couples in my own life who were older than me who had been blessed with daughters. Even celebrities like Jay-Z, Tristan Thompson, and Tiger Woods have cheated and ended up with girls.

Coincidence? I think NOT.

The hope is that these individuals will finally understand cheating is NEVER, I repeat, NEVER OK to get involved in. And if you think otherwise, shame on you.

I don't care if you have a "valid excuse" for doing this. Oh, your girlfriend wasn't giving you enough "physical touch?" They were nagging you to do "too much?" Or my favorite one, "it was a moment of weakness." These can all be answered with a simple thought:

Break up with these "awful" women before you lay in bed with another one you disgusting, disloyal, and heartbreaking human being.

Picture this with me: They'll be sitting at the end of their daughter's bed, her tears pouring out while she explains that the girl from history class must be more attractive or talented than she is because why else would he have slept with her? The pain is unbearable for his daughter and him. Watching someone so precious lay in devastation and despair.

He will wonder "how can anyone treat my precious girl like this? What monster would even dream of looking at someone else?" He then receives a déjà vu moment...

And finally, the penny drops, my friend.

The devastating moment when he realizes, "I once treated someone I 'loved' like this. I was once the monster she is crying over."

When she asks him "why did he do this to me, dad?" He'll hear the words of the woman he betrayed asking "why did you do this to me?" I hope these words sting as they hit a few home truths. I hope he experiences sleepless nights filled with the memory of his girlfriend or wife walking in on his "moment of weakness" or finding those text messages that "meant nothing."

I hope these men see their daughters ache for someone who didn't deserve their love.

They'll see their daughter received THEIR karma.

Of course, this probably won't happen to EVERY cheating man, but I liked to think it is true for the ones who didn't apologize or realize their actions were wrong or who need to realize that disloyalty can form someone's trust issues forever.

I don't believe there is a plan mapped out that explains our lives somewhere in the universe, but I hope a foolish man who breaks trust by cheating on his significant other ends up with a daughter.

I hope as soon as his lips touch another woman's who is not his partner's, his road and karma will point towards daughter.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
