God Has A Funny Way Of Telling You Things

When I first started college, I thought that everything was going to go my way and that I would graduate as a teacher four years later. Well, I guess God had a different plan for me and for my life. Plans that include me, in the middle of my sophomore year, changing my major. I realized through the decision process that I just needed to let go and to let God. I know, I know, people say that all the time, most of the time people just go on about their business. However, if you really do let go and let God, your life will change for the better and here are a few reasons why.

It feels like a weight is lifted off your shoulders

Last year, I thought my I had my plan all figured out but this semester, I felt a calling to change my major. A calling to change my major from Special Education to Christian Ministries. I have truly had a weight lifted off my shoulders when I finally took a leap of faith and talked to people about what I was feeling. A few friends have also told me that they have heard me talk more passionately about serving the Lord through teaching about him here and anywhere than they have ever heard me talk about education. After praying and seeking the Lord's guidance over the past few months, officially changing my major is making me so much more happy about what God is doing in my life!

Your life will change for the best and you will have a better relationship with God

Over the course of praying and seeking guidance, I have become more confident in myself. I have learned that if I want something, I need to pray and see if that is Gods plan for my life, and if it is, He will sure as the world tell me. My life, since I have first started this journey has definitely changed, and I am so glad that it has. I have great friends that support me in everything that I choose to do, and I am forever grateful that I have them in my life!

Your life will have more purpose

Before you even become part of God's kingdom, your life already has a purpose; but, when you become saved, and start doing the things that he tells you. Your life will become better than it ever has been. I would not change anything that I went through while going through this part of my life as Gods daughter. I am forever thankful that I have changed my major, and I can't wait to see where it takes me!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
