As I've grown older, I've noticed that there are so many aspects of life that I have finally fully mastered. Things that, in the past, seemed so challenging and complicated, now seem like just a regular part of life. It's truly amazing to look back on prior experiences and see how much you have grown and what things you have accomplished.
I believe one of the best things in life is to constantly challenge yourself and to strive for the best. New experiences and challenges always seem to be overwhelming and frightening at first. When looking at the entire challenge as a whole, they almost seem as if they are impossible to tackle. But when you take these challenges step by step, they don't seem to be that intimidating anymore.
If you are not constantly challenging your mind and your abilities, you will never know how far life can actually take you. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the first elected female head of state in Africa once said, "If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough," and I truly could not agree with her more.
I believe that you can do absolutely anything that you set your mind to, no matter how difficult it may seem. If you are constantly running away from opportunities due to the fear of not being able to accomplish them, then you will never know the possibilities that you may have been granted.
Even if an opportunity comes along and you don't seem to succeed at it, there is never a negative aspect that comes out of an opportunity. Even if you do not accomplish the specific goal that you have set for yourself, there are many lessons that you can learn from engaging in this opportunity. This makes you wiser, more knowledgeable, and more experienced so that you can fully succeed and accomplish whatever challenge is sent your way in the future.
It is much more comforting being able to say that you tried something and it didn't work out than saying "what if." It is always good to put your best foot forward and take a chance on accomplishing something great in your life. No matter what life may throw at you, always remember that you will learn so much for from challenging yourself and setting your mind to constant goals.
