Now that the election drama has faintly died down, it's time to look at the celebrities who decided against voting. Though this is one of toughest elections for many people questioning the fate of America, they should have still voted! Many celebrities have publicly announced who they were voting for.

Some prominent Clinton supporters consisted of- Miley Cyrus, Madonna, Demi Lovato, Jay-Z, and Beyonce. On the other end, some firm Trump believers were Charlie Sheen, Mike Tyson, and Hulk Hogan.

Celebrities who recently announced they decided against voting in this election consisted of Kanye West, Colin Kaepernick, Mike Evans, Jeb Bush, George W. Bush, Kendrick Lamar, and P. Diddy.

There are definitely much more celebs who decided against voting this election, but these figures have openly made claims about their decisions.

So now that we know the celebs that didn’t vote, many people are probably asking- why? I know I was!

Kanye West openly said during one of his concerts in San Jose on Nov. 17, that “he would have supported Donald Trump if he felt like voting.” This obviously led to an upset crowd, where the audience then booed him and wanted their money back. Knowing his every move is monitored by the media, why did he make such an open claim? If he really believes in president-elect Trump, he should have just voted for him!

The next two people- Colin Kaepernick and Mike Tyson- two very famous NFL players shared similar beliefs. Kaepernick has been in the media for some time now mainly due to his act of not standing for the National Anthem and his support of Black Lives Matter. Though this is a problem in society, he decided he wasn’t going to vote due to the system of oppression.

The next two brothers- Jeb and George W. Bush- go hand and hand once again. Jeb Bush ran in the 2016 Presidential Election, but was let out very early. Though he claims it wasn’t personal opinion- he didn’t think he could vote for either Trump or Clinton and refused to choose the lesser of two evils.

I think this issue is one of the main reasons a lot of people didn’t vote this year. They just didn’t know what to do, and who to follow.

Jeb Bush’s brother, George W. Bush, surprisingly didn’t cast a vote either. Whether it was because of his brother, or the same reason as his brother, Bush’s camp revealed that he and his wife left their voting ballots blank. Now, this is very strange to me. A former president not voting either? Something is definitely not right! For a couple that has been in the white house for some time, they know better, and definitely should have cast a vote.

The last two artists also coincidentally share the same views with one another. Kendrick Lamar, known for his intense music about slavery, and oppression, made it known that he will NEVER vote because he doesn’t think it makes a difference. P. Diddy, who was once a part of a Vote or Die campaign, had a change of heart in 2015 and simply stated the whole process was a scam. How we reached these claims are still unknown.

Though I respect that these stars have their personal opinions about each candidate, I believe as an American citizen, they should have exercised their right to vote.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
