To Guys From A Stressed Out Girl

As a girl, I constantly ask myself if I am overreacting or not reacting enough

As a girl, we stress over everything, especially when it comes to guys that we like. Literally, our hair, makeup, outfit, eyebrows, everything has to be perfect or everything will go wrong. Seriously y'all, some of us probably won't even eat the whole day before going out with a guy at night just so we don't look bloated. It's crazy but it is so true. Now, some of you girls may say, "No, I don't care about anything; they get me as I am as when he met me." Yeah, I say the same thing, but deep down we all know the truth. You care. It's okay. But, are you like me and wonder, do guys care about all of that? Do they care at all? Do they stress?

Us girls, we over-stress, overthink, overreact... We are just a bit much sometimes, but that's okay because we are girls and we have that right. We wonder if we are getting on a guy's nerves, we wonder if we look decent when we are laughing, we wonder if guys actually care about our outfits when we get all dolled up, you think it and we all wonder it. But honestly, are guys the same way? Do they care if they're hair looks good or if they're dressed good enough for us or if they're being annoying? Do they care at all? Okay, of course they do, but is it as much as a girl?

As a girl, I constantly ask myself if I am overreacting or not reacting enough. I constantly question everything I do because I don't want to be judged by a guy or a stranger. No, I don't really care what people say about me, but I still don't like the feeling that I am being talked about. Are guys the same way? Sometimes, I sit back and think about this for hours and can still never come up with an answer. I doubt that I ever will, but that's okay. Just like some people want to be a fly on the wall to hear what other people are saying, I want to know what a guy stresses about when it comes to girls. Is that normal? Sure, but there are some things in life we will never know and I've accepted that.

To all the guys out there, if you do stress about stuff like this, tell a girl, so they will stop stressing over if you stress about this stuff too or not.

Thanks in advance, from a stressed out girl.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
