Cancer is a disease that affects people all over the world. It really sucks having the people that you love in so much pain. I know it is making them stronger, but there should be a cure for it so that they no longer have to go through hell.

My grandfather(s) died of cancer. Granted, they smoked a lot in their lives but that did not mean that the disease should have taken over. I didn't get to meet my dad's birth father because of the disease. Who knows what could have occurred if he would still be alive today. My dad's step dad I did get the chance to meet and I am so grateful of the memories we made together. Life is about making memories when times are tough I guess. Even the smallest of things can mean the day to someone. So send that text message or make that phone call to your loved ones who are still here on this Earth.

I really think all cancers can be cured. This would include breast cancer, which this month is dedicated towards. My neighbor was just diagnosed with breast cancer, so she is fighting this awful disease as we speak. I believe that she is a fighter and can beat cancer. She has been through a lot in her life, and I think that if we as a society stand up to cancer right now then her fight will be quicker to beat.My heart goes out to any of y'alls loved ones who have passed on from this cancer and other types of cancers. It has definitely changed my outlook on my life, it has made me cherish more of the moments with my loved ones. I hope that it does the same to you as well. Certainly, we can help kick cancers butt!!

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Mistakes are something we all make, no matter how old we get. Most of the time, the mistakes we made are little and sometimes due to something out of our control. Yet, there are mistakes that are bigger than others. Personally, I have mistakes that I wish I could go back and undo. Here they are:

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
