Bullying Is Never Justifiable

Bullies aren't what they think they are.

Bullying Is Never Justifiable

Has someone ever called you fat or ugly? Well, those people are too insecure about themselves and see others as lower than them. They say that "Bullies are weaker than the ones they bully." Those people who are bullied aren't weak, but don't know what to do to stand up for themselves. A fight won't solve anything, nor will telling a teacher, but would telling a parent help someone?

Standing up for yourself and telling the bully off takes a ton of courage. If executed correctly, it can make the bully have second thoughts about the person you are and back off. People who deliver hateful comments to others do not realize that they themselves were weak to someone else in the past. This means that the bully was bullied in the past, but does not admit it, since that would blow his cover. Most bullies are perceived as tough, strong and big, but in reality, they are regular human beings just like us with a few problems that cause them to perform those actions towards others they see as "weak." In college, bullying is not frequent, but still takes place -- usually toward others who don't portray themselves as assertive.

I find bullying absolutely pathetic and ignorant. It should never be done. During the sixth grade, I myself was a victim of bullying. I was bullied immensely and everyday due to the fact that I walked alone and never really engaged in actual conversations with others. I never felt comfortable talking to others who did not like what I enjoyed or who did things that I was not comfortable doing. There was a day when I could not even go to the lunchroom because bullying surrounded me. I just walked around the hallway and cried because I did not know what to do. Life was not easy, and people laughed and pushed me around. My ultimate decision was to stand up for myself against the bullies who made my life a living hell. I told them off and pushed them around; the emotions bundled up inside me were ready to burst out. Bullying is never OK for anyone to experience.

I honestly wish that I could change the past and avoid the middle school experiences that I went through. Actions must be taking to stop bullying and eliminate these destructive actions. Many suicides are caused by bullying, because those kids do not think they have a reason to live anymore. Every person on this earth should have a reason to live: to change this world in a positive way. As I said before, "Bullying is never OK for anyone to experience."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
