Stamina is simply the power to endure. The cool thing about stamina is that it can be developed very easily.
I am at a young age right now, yet I am at a point where I feel like I have built my stamina. So allow me to share with you how to build stamina at a young age.
First, let’s discuss why it is important to start building stamina at a young age. No one will tell you this, but some people are impressed with young people with a lot of experience.
Experience is a sign of stamina because stamina is built through experience. When you are told to start young, this is why.
The younger you start building stamina, then the more you have to go off of later on in life. The more you have to work with, the better chance you have at success.
Obviously, there are benefits to starting young.
The only way to build stamina is to endure a lot, and then do it over again. I spent a lot of time as a Girl Scout, which helped me to build my stamina big time.
Anything from sitting through long meetings without going to sleep to spending hours standing outside of a grocery store is a good experience to have. This particular experience shows you have the power to endure hard tasks for a long period of time.
This practice is a testament to how much stamina you have because remember, stamina is the power to endure. So, any form of early volunteer and work experience shows just how much stamina you have.
Now, to be fair, not all experience can be a testament to stamina. A lot of the things I did as a Girl Scout, and other things I did in high school, are not the best reflection on my stamina.
Another big piece of stamina is the ability to do things. This means that with stamina, action speaks louder than words.
I always notice how the less involved I was, the less that speaks to my stamina because it shows I was not able to handle it for whatever reason. In my experience, my stamina demonstrated my ability to do. Cutting something short signified my ability to not do.
The more involved I became with something, the more I was able to build my stamina because I found myself doing more.
When one thing comes to an end, do not hesitate to find the next thing. This shows just how committed you are.
Stamina is one of those things where the sooner you can develop it, the better. Take the time while you are young to build it because it can help you or hurt you depending on how much you have.
