If you are a college student chances are you are doing more than just classes you might be working or you might be involved in a group or two on campus. If that sounds like you then you know how important it is to budget your time so that you aren't falling behind in classes or aren't getting things done for your groups on campus on time.
If you are like me you might be taking a full course load, working, and be involved in some groups on campus. And let me tell you something I love that I keep myself busy like this while I am going to school because it gives me a chance to get to know some more people.
At first, when I got involved in all of these things I was stressed out and didn't know how I was going to balance it all and still be able to sleep. So here are my tips and tricks for how I budget my time so that I still get to sleep at a semi decent time.
Remember how in high school you went to bed at about the same time every night and got up at about the same time every morning? Keep doing that if you are a freshman or if you have been going to school for a while you should start doing that again. Know when you work the best is it at night or in the morning and set your homework time for your most productive time period of the day.
Put everything and I really mean everything into your planner if you don't have a planner now is the time to get one. Mine is always on me so that if at work some one asks me if I can pick up a shift for them I can give them an answer almost immediately.
Start writing or at least thinking about your papers at least a week before they are due so that when the due date comes all you have to do is edit them and submit them instead of only giving yourself four hours to think about, write, and edit a 10-page paper.
Anytime you tell someone that you will do something whether it is as simple as getting lunch with them or as important as going into work for them or attending an event on campus to promote your on campus groups write it in your planner so that you don't forget about it.
