Your brain can be the worst enemy you ever have to battle during the course of growing up! Sometimes there is no hope of winning, and the feeling of depression becomes overwhelming. You always ask yourself the same questions over and over again with no chance of solving any of the problems at hand. Insecurity and doubt are spectators in this never-ending struggle as they throw influential ideas against you. It is pure brutality and there are no rules governing the battle taking place within the body and mind.
The world around you feels like the never-ending rush of the ocean waters and you have become too tired to swim against the current. The fight between yourself is exhausting and it begins to show during the daily activities conducted. Wondering if the surrounding people in life are noticing this anxious issue is just fueling the flames with more gasoline. Everyone appears to turn against you during this struggle because your trust for outsiders becomes nonexistent. The only person you trust is yourself and depression slowly creeps up behind those anxious thoughts. The priorities you once had begin to slip through your fingers as well as all the friends and family that depend on you. With all of this happening so sudden, it is easy to let depression walk through the door and embrace anxiety like long lost friends. Now your mind is housed with all sorts of bitterness and demons that have definitely over stayed their welcome.
Taking a look outside you notice that the birds are desperately trying to feed off a few bird feeders and some scraps on the ground. How do they conduct their life and worry as much as I do? Absolutely not! They have one mission and that single mission is to survive while at the same time making sure their family does as well. There is no choice in the matter because if they slack for one single day then the result are detrimental. The birds sprout their wings in the morning, rain or shine, and take flight towards their mission as they soar through the skies. They are a beautiful example of a life we need to live without the harsh battles that our minds like to schedule for us at the worst of times. Everyone will always be subjected to those battles of anxiety, but you determine how much it will hurt you in the long run. Use the thousands of anxious thoughts to your advantage and weigh your daily options. Become the bird that will not stop at anything to complete its priority for the day even when outside influences come into play.
