No matter what music platform you choose to use, out of all that are available in today’s world, there is one thing they all have in common: they all have what is basically an endless stream of artists and music that pull your attention in million different directions.

Nowadays, with so many songs to get lost in, there is no doubt in my mind that each and every one of you occasionally struggle with trying to figure out which artists are the “ones to watch for."

Well, let me help you out there…

I present to you...

Aesja & Lil JSean

Lil JSean & Aesja are American hip-hop artists coming out of The Woodlands, TX. They have opened for well-known favs Waka Flocka and Riff Raff, as well as hosted and performed at West Virginia University’s 2016 Spring Fling. Just last year, they teamed up with Kanye West’s artist and fellow songwriter, Cyhi The Prynce, as guest features in his song "Long Damn Time."

Additionally, they released a music video for a song they did together titled "Trust Em" that has since racked up over a million Youtube views!! If you are like majority of the 18 - late 20s population & have a love for the ’90s, then this video can make your day. While continuously pursuing their dreams, Lil JSean and Aesja have also both became founders of their own organizations, Acts Of Kindness Project &The Aesja Foundation for Autism.

And on top of all of that, as of September this year, Lil JSean & Aesja now have their own radio show in Houston through Synergy Radio Network every Saturday morning from 10 - 11 a.m. CST called "The Shake and Bake Show!"

Although it's in Houston, they also partnered up with Amazon Fire TV & Roku TV; that way their show can be streamed after the show whenever online on The Shake and Bake Show website!

These two artists, without a doubt, show a great amount of potential in life, even outside of rapping and singing. But with that being said, I'm not going to sit here and throw out a bunch of descriptive details or try to convince you why I believe these are two artists we should all be keeping our eyes on to see them do some great things. What I'm doing here is introducing you to two kind and talented young individuals and all YOU need to do is lend a curious ear.

Both of these artists bring their own unique styles to their performances, as well as in the EP's they released in 2014. Their newest single, Sky's Falling, was released earlier this year.Look them up & check out their unique styles! You can find their music on multiple platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, Soundcloud, & YouTube!

OH YEAH, ONE MORE THING

As for you, Texas Tech Red Raiders and Lubbock TX residents,
It's one thing to look their music up online, but what better way to check these two out then to see them perform LIVE? Because...

THIS SATURDAY, October 28, at The Lone Star Oyster Bar, FarmHouse Fraternity presents: Fright Night featuring Lil JSean and Aesja!

Tickets will be sold at the door and are ONLY $5. Doors open at 10pm!
Costumes/Dressing Up is not required but highly recommended!

Message from Lil JSean about this weekend: "Thank you so much to Daniel Tucci and Hudson Wood for the connection to perform at Texas Tech, we are very selective about the college performances that we do, and we are excited to explore Lubbock!!!”

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
