Break-Ups They Are Never Pretty

We have all gone through one, and some are uglier than others.

Break-Ups They Are Never Pretty

Every girl knows that break-ups are never easy. Every girl will experience one, no matter how they try to make it work or to fix their relationship; you can't fix something that's broken. Whether you break-up with someone or you're the one who got dumped, it's hard to process that the person you were with is now nothing more than a stranger. Here are a few ways to help those heart broken girls out there:

1.) It's okay to break down and cry: No matter how long the relationship was, it's okay to let yourself cry. Whether you were with the person for a few weeks or a few months, letting someone go is never easy. So don't be afraid to let yourself have a crying session.

2.) Don't be afraid to remember the good times: We all have gone through break ups where all we can remember are the good times, even if we want to remember how much of a jerk they were. People leave certain imprints on you where if you listen to a certain song or maybe go to a certain place all you can think about is how you felt when you were with them. Don't feel bad for thinking of the good times, everyone does. Just remember you're going to have better memories with someone else.

3.) Pig out: You have to splurge a little and that means sitting in front of your laptop; eating chips, chocolate and pizza. Maybe even plan a girls night. Talking until three in morning, watching scary movies and eating butt loads of popcorn is good for a broken heart.

4.) Keep yourself busy: Once the time comes and you feel ready to start living your life again, keep yourself busy. Do things that make you happy; going on hikes, shopping, hanging out with your friends, going out to eat, maybe even read a few books that interest you. For example, I have been focusing on school and what college I want to go to. Focusing on a long term goal has helped me personally because this gives me something to focus on and look forward to.

5.) Don't feel pressured to start dating again: Don't let anyone pressure to start dating again. That is up to you personally and how you are dealing with your breakup. Everyone deals with their breakups differently so you don't need to move on super quick. Deal with your emotions and take some time to heal what's been hurt.

Breaks up hurt but remember, losing someone who does not respect and appreciate you is actually a gain. Not a loss.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
